There’s a new OTT content platform on the block now: Zomato. On September 16, Zomato will launch 18 original shows, along with over 2,000 other videos over the next 3 months. What we know: The new shows, between 3 and 15 minutes, will be available in a 'Videos' tab in the Zomato app. Videos will be categorised into shows, recipes and ‘sneak peak restaurant stories’. Zomato Originals will only stream in India, and the other genres can be accessed worldwide. Zomato has tied up with celebrity chef Sanjeev Kapoor, comedians Sumukhi Suresh and Neville Shah, among others, for its Originals, which will all be based around food (what a surprise?). A Zomato spokesperson told MediaNama that all the content on its platform (18 Originals and 2,000 other videos) will be licensed and syndicated by Zomato. They don't have a content partnership with any other OTT platform. This video service will also be free. This is a developing story, more updates will be added.
