Jaideep Mehta to join VCCircle as its CEO

Jaideep Mehta has quit International Data Corporation (IDC) India and will be joining digital publication VCCircle.com as its CEO. Mehta confirmed this to MediaNama and informed that he exited IDC at the end of September and will be taking over his responsibilities at VCCircle next week. He declined to comment further about his roles and responsibilities at VCCircle at this point. Mehta had joined IDC India back in April 2011 as the vice president and country general manager. Since then he has also served as vice president and general manager (South Asia) and as managing director (India and South Asia), which was his designation at the time of the exit. Prior to this he had been with Gartner Inc. for close to six years, and had served in a number of different roles. Since October 2014, he had also been mentoring enterprise technology company Fareye.in, which continues till date. VCCircle's previous CEO, Nita Kapoor had quit in April this year, one year after she was appointed as CEO in April 2016. Along with VCCircle, she had also been overseeing Bigdecisions.com, as head of new India ventures. In July this year, she became a mentor for Hult Prize India. VCCircle acquisition In March 2015, News Corp acquired VCCircle for an undisclosed amount.
