Payments company MobiKwik has announced the appointment of Rukaiya Rangwala as a new Business Head for its payment gateway business (Zaakpay). According to her LinkedIn profile, Rangwala joined the company in April this year. Prior to MobiKwik, Rukaiya was working with entrepreneurial ventures, and before that worked with e-commerce player Jabong at various senior positions. She has also worked at Dell for eight years. She has also worked with Rocket Internet in the past, where she was helping the VC establish its portfolio in India. Rangwala holds a degree of MBA from INSEAD. MobiKwik's payment gateway biz This month, the company relaunched Zaakpay as 'MobiKwik Payment Gateway' with an aims to clock $5 billion worth of transactions on the platform by end of FY 2018. In a statement, the company said that MobiKwik is growing its Payment Gateway team size to 100 employees by FY 2018 in 5 cities which include Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Kolkata and Bangalore. It currently powers payments for some 30,000 ecommerce websites and apps and aims to double the figure by FY 2018. Current clients of MobiKwik Payment Gateway include UBER, Zomato, Domino’s, IRCTC, Grofers, Instamojo, Easemytrip and many other leading brands. MobiKwik earlier said that its payment gateway processes more than 100 million transactions a month and currently powers payments for more than 3,000 e-commerce websites and apps.
