Netflix has appointed Swati Shetty in a content acquisition and original content production role, reports Indiantelevision. Shetty is the founder director of Samosa Stories Entertainment Pvt Ltd and has previously worked as president of motion pictures for Balaji Telefilms for over a year, executive director of Walt Disney International Productions India for 2 years and director of India for Disney ABC International TV for about 2 years. She’s also worked with Walt Disney India for over 2.5 years and as a territory manager for Eli Lilly India for a year. Thank you! Pradhan will be based out of Singapore. Prior to working for YouTube, Pradhan worked in business development for international product partnerships at Google for about 2 years, chief manager of telco operations at Yahoo! for 6 years and assistant manager of VAS at Vodafone for about 4 years. In May, Netflix appointed Anthony Zameczkowski as vice president of business development for Asia-Pacific, where he’d lead and manage strategic partnerships and business development.
