Online classifieds and ecommerce company JustDial has reported operational revenue rise of 6% to Rs 176.29 crore for the quarter ended June 30. The company had reported revenues of from Rs 166.03 crore in the same quarter last year. On a sequential basis, revenues declined 1.85% from Rs 179.61 crore. Net profit stood at Rs 38.93 crore, up 8% from Rs 36.03 crore in the same quarter last year. On a sequential basis, net profit increased 10.28% from Rs 35.3 crore. It's employee count increased to 11,932 from 10,198 in the preceding quarter. In Q2 FY16, JustDial had said that said revenue growth was hit as the company did not make adequate hiring for its sales team. In the third quarter of the fiscal year 2016, the company said it would be adding more than 4,000 employees to handle sales for the company over the next 9-10 months. With the recent hires, employee related costs increased 22.46% to Rs 108.51 crore from Rs 88.61 crore in the same quarter last year. Employee costs accounted for 69.56% of total costs. Listings business The company conducted 389,400 paid campaigns for advertisers in Q1FY17, registering a 12% increase in the number of campaigns, as compared with 346,900 campaigns in the same quarter last year. It had reported 368,800 paid campaigns in the preceding quarter. Campaigns are essentially paid featured listings/recommendations on JustDial’s search. JustDial made Rs 4870 per paid campaign. JustDial’s overall listings grew 8% to 16.6 million in the quarter from 15.3 million listings in the same period last year.
