Axiata group advertising company Adknowledge Asia has appointed Neeraj Bansal as its Country Head for India. According to his LinkedIn profile, Bansal was the Chief Business Officer at Igniteworld, the JV between Bharti Softbank and Yahoo Japan before he joined Adknowledge. Currently, Bansal heads the Adparlor business: Adparlor is Adknowledge Asia's social and video advertising platform, which enables marketers to advertise on Facebook, YouTube, Twitter and Instagram, as per his LinkedIn profile. Bansal has previously worked with Reliance Jio, Google and Sony Ericsson as well. At Adknowledge, according to a company note, he will be responsible for growing sales and options. Bansal will report to Damien Lavin, Chief Revenue Officer for Adknowledge Asia, who is based out of Singapore. MediaNama readers might remember Adknowledge as the Axiata subsidiary which bought Komli Media's South East Asia advertising business for $11.5 million, including operations in Hong Kong, Thailand, Singapore, Vietnam, Philippines, Indonesia and Malaysia in August last year. Adknowledge Asia has nearly 150 employees in APAC. Komli's India business was bought by the SVG Media group for an undisclosed amount.
