Industry Moves: HT Media, HOOQ, TV18 and JunoTele

Bobby Ghosh appointed as chief editor of Hindustan Times; Anil Padmanabhan is new executive editor of Mint HT Media has appointed Aparisim ‘Bobby’ Ghosh as its new executive editor of its daily Hindustan Times, reports TechCircle. In 2014, he joined the online news website Quartz as its Managing Editor of between (2 years). Prior to this, he worked as Global Affairs Analyst at CNN (2 years), he also held the position of International Editor and various editorial and senior positions at TIME magazine for more than 15 years. He also worked with Business Standard as Special Correspondent (3 years) and staff reporter at Deccan Chronicle (2 years). Ghosh replaces Sanjoy Narayan who had joined Hindustan Times as its chief editor in 2008. In addition, HT media owned newspaper Mint has also appointed Anil Padmanabhan as Executive Editor, reports Exchange4media. Padmanabhan has been with Mint since November 2006 as its Deputy Managing Editor. *** HOOQ appoints Manish Kapoor as head of India brand operations Video streaming service HOOQ has appointed Manish Kapoor as the Brand Lead of its India operations, reports Exchange4media. At HOOQ he will take of the company’s branding and marketing operations, Prior to HOOQ, Kapoor has worked with Havells India Ltd, as its Brand Head across its 3 brands.
