Bobby Ghosh appointed as chief editor of Hindustan Times; Anil Padmanabhan is new executive editor of Mint
HT Media has appointed Aparisim ‘Bobby’ Ghosh as its new executive editor of its daily Hindustan Times, reports TechCircle. In 2014, he joined the online news website Quartz as its Managing Editor of between (2 years). Prior to this, he worked as Global Affairs Analyst at CNN (2 years), he also held the position of International Editor and various editorial and senior positions at TIME magazine for more than 15 years. He also worked with Business Standard as Special Correspondent (3 years) and staff reporter at Deccan Chronicle (2 years). Ghosh replaces Sanjoy Narayan who had joined Hindustan Times as its chief editor in 2008.
In addition, HT media owned newspaper Mint has also appointed Anil Padmanabhan as Executive Editor, reports Exchange4media. Padmanabhan has been with Mint since November 2006 as its Deputy Managing Editor.
HOOQ appoints Manish Kapoor as head of India brand operations
Video streaming service HOOQ has appointed Manish Kapoor as the Brand Lead of its India operations, reports Exchange4media. At HOOQ he will take of the company’s branding and marketing operations, Prior to HOOQ, Kapoor has worked with Havells India Ltd, as its Brand Head across its 3 brands. He has also worked with JWT where as its Associate Vice President across brand such as Lay’s, Mountain Dew, Kurkure, Timex among others.
Rohit Bansal exits TV18’s board of directors
Rohit Bansal, who is one of the board of directors at TV18 has left the company, reports IndiaTelevision. Previously, he took care of media, regulation and strategy at Reliance Industries Limited (RIL). He was also the Managing Editor at India TV and has previously worked at The Times of India as Senior Business Correspondent, Zee News as Business Editor and resident editor at Financial Express. He’s also previously worked at TV18 as special correspondent and has been a columnist at The Pioneer, Governance Now, DNA and IANS.
JunoTele names Vikrant Khorana as Chief Business Officer
Payments startup JunoTele has appointed Vikrant Khorana as Chief Business Officer. At JunoTele, Khorana will be a part of its Management team and will take care of the company’s overall business related operations. Prior to this, Khorana worked at PayU India Senior Vice President and took care its non-ecommerce related business operations.
