People looking to sell their mobile phones on Quikr will now be able to evaluate the condition and quality of mobile phones through a diagnostic app named QuikrScanner, reports Economic Times. The app runs up to 20 tests evaluating battery condition, camera quality, network-related conditions, etc. A final quality score (out of 100) will be displayed to those looking to buy a phone through Quikr. According to Quikr, it made the diagnostic app to bring more transparency to transactions of pre-owned mobiles. QuikrScanner app is currently available for Android devices only; it is also available on their mobile site and desktop as well. The ET report added that the app has already been used in 20% of mobile listings on Quikr. While talking to Medianama, a Quikr representative said that seller can choose to publish the final score of the test (out of 100), along with their ad listing, and that it isn't compulsory. When we reviewed the app, we found that the above mentioned tests including 20 different parameters wouldn't initiate unless there is an OTP (One Time Password) received after logging-in and listing a phone on their portal. Users in GooglePlay store were found complaining about this; mostly because they weren't able to try the functionality of the app before actually listing a mobile phone on Quikr.
