Chief revenue officer of InMobi, Atul Satija has quit the company reports VCCircle. Satija is supposedly floating a nonprofit social impact startup (sustainable poverty alleviation) while continuing to serve as a business advisor with InMobi, the report added. Abhay Singhal, co-founder of InMobi will serve as the CRO for now. Singhal, in his current capacity, is responsible in driving sales development and global revenue strategies. Satija has been associated with InMobi for over 6.5 years. He built InMobi’s online sales channels for global demand and supply. He has worked in InMobi as the VP & MD of Japan & APAC, VP & GM of Global Online and Inside business, VP & head of worldwide business development and latest as the chief revenue officer. He had also served as an advisory board member with End Poverty, a Gurgaon based NGO. In his previous professional life, he has worked with Google, Infosys, Samsung, Adobe and FlowServe Sanmar. Last month, Google was looking to buy InMobi as part of its strategy to counter Facebook’s dominance in advertising on mobile devices. However, InMobi founder Naveen Tewari clarified to the InMobi staff that they were not selling to Google. InMobi was looking at a valuation of over $2 billion in a discussion with its investors for the next rounds of funding. Tewari also mentioned that InMobi did not need to get acquired since they were “building an amazing company in a huge market with a huge level of innovation”.
