GetIt’s online e-commerce marketplace getitBazaar has inked a partnership to integrate Unbxd’s site search offering to its properties.
As part of this partnership, Unbxd will be managing search across all getitBazaar properties on the web, mobile, voice and social among others. The deal period or the terms of the partnership were however not disclosed.
GetIt mentions that the service is currently live on getitBazaar’s voice service (AskMe) introduced in January this year, allowing agents to find popular and relevant products from vendors to its customers. It is expected to be rolled out on other channels shortly.
Introduced in October 2013 in collaboration with Shopify, getitBazaar claims to currently have a base of more than 50,000 products from more than 10,000 sellers. It also claims to be generating more than 1,200 orders through voice on a daily basis.
Last month, the company had tied-up with the online shopping site 99labels to set up a deals section which offers discounts on electronics and fashion accessories. Earlier this year, AskMe had also started providing location-specific local searches, deals and classifieds through an official account ‘AskMeSearch’ on Tencent’s mobile messaging app WeChat.
On the flip side, Bangalore-based Unbxd started off by offering an in-site search functionality for e-commerce sites and later on expanded its offerings to provide a product recommendation engine called Unbxd SmartEngage, which offers search, navigation, merchandizing and analytics solutions to e-commerce companies.
The company had raised a $2 million Series A funding from IDG Ventures India and Inventus Capital Partners in October last year. It had also secured an undisclosed amount of funding from Indian Angel Network (IAN) in September 2012.
