Startup Chile 7th Generation: Bitrockr, MicroSolar, Motorpaneer, TableGrabber & More

Start Up ChileChile government run accelerator Startup Chile has announced its seventh generation with 100 startups. About 10% of the startup in the 7th generation are from India and the 100 startups selected come from 28 different countries.

The accelerator claims that IT & Enterprise Software is the most strongly identified industry (20% of the selected), which is then followed by e-commerce (15%) Mobile & Wireless (10%), and Education (10%). Remaining categories include Social Media, Healthcare & Biotechnology, Energy & Clean Tech, Social Enterprise and Tourism, among others.

The program offers $40,000 equity free seed capital and a temporary 1-year visa to develop their projects for six months, work space, and connections.

While the organization notes that 10% of the startups were Indian Startups, it hasn’t disclosed any specific breakdown based on the country. We have contacted Startup Chile for an entire list of Indian startups and will update the article once we get a response.  In the meantime, here are the Indian startups that we discovered in the current batch:

bitrockBitrockr: Bitrockr lets users track and analyze all their personal data in one central platform, enabling them to make better-informed life decisions.

MicroSolar: MicroSolar develops ultra low-cost solar electronics. It claims that its patent pending technology offers small scale solar installations at 72.4% less cost. It also offers plug-n-play implementation.

MotorpaneerMotorpaneer:  Motorpaneer is an online portal for car buying. The company claims that it uses an assortment of UI tools to learn more about user’s needs from a car. It then crunches automotive data behind the scenes and returns personalized recommendations and insights, in simple layperson language.

FITH Media

FITH Media Pvt. Ltd: Founded in January 2013, FITH is a mobile game developing company. It has already launched games like Nikal Padi, Where’s my cat, and Kutte pe kutta on Android. It claims that iOS versions of these games are coming soon and also has more game titles in pipeline.

TableGrabber: TableGrabber is an online service that allows users to book and get confirmed restaurant reservations instantly. It offers Electronic Reservation Diary (ERD) solution for restaurants allowing them to receive bookings through the website, phone or walk-ins. The service is currently available in Delhi-NCR region, Mumbai and Bangalore. TableGrabber was also among the Microsoft Accelerator Batch 2.

PlasticityPlasticity Recycling: Plasticity Recycling develops a low-capital drop-in solution to produce recycled, food-grade plastic domestically. It claims that its product will be implemented in Materials Recycling Facilities (MRFs) that recycle plastic waste and turn it into food-grade pellets, the commodity used primarily to make plastic bottles. Check out their machinery here.

RxAnalyticsRxAnalytics: RxAnalytics provides predictive analytics technology for health improvement. It collects data and provides insights and personalized recommendations for health and wellness outcomes. Currently the site offers a basic plan for $20 per month that provides easy workout training, automatic benchmarking tracking, snapshot of workout, and add workout for affiliate gyms.

SentropiSentropi: Sentropi is an online protection from chargebacks, account takeover, Identity theft and online scams. The company claims that it identifies and blocks the people trying to get the information of an online business for malicious use.
