Mobile content management and payment solutions provider, Tanla Solutions, launched its Games Club solution, a social gaming service platform, for BlackBerry Smartphone customers in the Asia Pacific region. As part of an exclusive deal, over 80 games from Electronic Arts including Need for Speed, Wolverine, The Sims 3, Tetris and Harry Potter will be made available to BlackBerry users through the BlackBerry App World. Users can access the games by either downloading them individually from the BlackBerry App World or by downloading the application that lists all the games available. They can opt for a weekly pack which offers an 'Eat all you can' membership. Users can also share their gaming experience across BBM, Facebook and Twitter through the Games Club app. According to the company, all the games are secured with Tanla’s License Manager (which has also been used to build Games Club) to prevent unauthorized access. Free trial and paid membership options are available to the users. On joining the Games Club, one can play unlimited games till the expiry of their membership. The company claims that Games Club has about 1 million users generating over 2 million game-plays per day. Chandra Sekhar, Asst. VP, OEM Business Development at Tanla informed MediaNama that the company has deployed Games Club directly with operators and indirectly through its content partners.
