We’re off for the next week and a half, taking our annual year-end break. I’ll be soaking in some sun, and swimming with the fishes. We might update infrequently with just a news digest pointing you towards what to read elsewhere. If you have an important announcement, do us a favor and wait till the 3rd. 🙂
I have one post pending for the year, outlining one significant trend during 2011 that point us towards a dramatic shift in the digital media and mobile space, and challenges that contained therein.
2010 has been a tough year of significant ups and downs for us at MediaNama, and I’d like to thank all of you – our readers, friends and family for your consistent support, criticism and advise: please do keep pushing us to do better. If there’s something that you think we’ve not done well in 2010, or something that you want us to do better in 2011, please do leave a comment; be blunt and brutal with your comments on our work: it will help us improve, and do better content. Things were pretty tough for us around the middle of the year, given the way ad agencies operate; however, we’ve had tremendous support from our advertisers: Hazel Media, IMI Mobile, Indiatimes, Le Grand, One97 Communications, MediaTek, Web18, Yahoo India, as well as our sales partners Anagha Media (till November 2010) and CentruMedia (current) for their support. They’ve made it possible for us to now scale up our activities in the coming year.
In 2011, we’ve got an event planned, which we’ll announce in early January, one property already in the works, and another on the drawing board (for the second half of 2011). We just need more enterprising people on board, to help us grow, and hopefully, we’ll find them. In the meantime, it’s for some downtime. Have a fantastic year end, and a great 2011. Thanks 🙂
