Kalli Purie To Head India Today Digital

Well, this has been on the grapevine for the last couple of weeks, and finally we've confirmed it: Kalli Purie, a former COO of India Today Group Online, will be heading India Today Digital (Digital Today). She takes over from Sanjoy Narayan, who has joined HT Media as Editor in Chief. Kalli Purie is the daughter of India Today founder and Editor-in-Chief Aroon Purie, and will be joining Digital Today as Director. Purie oversaw the groups last foray into digital media in 2001, when they had launched an online newspaper (thenewspapertoday.com) and email service (mailmetoday.com). With the dot-com-bust storm that followed, the group switched to a paid model before shutting the properties down.
