Shamik Sharma, Myntra’s Chief Technology and Product Officer has quit, and moved into an advisory role, reports Economic Times. Ajit Narayanan, the SVP & head of engineering, has been promoted to head all technology, the report added. Sharma was appointed to the role 4 years ago in September 2012. Prior to Myntra, he was the VP of software at Lytro, SVP of technology and engineering at RockYou (Yahoo!), VP of engineering at StumbleUpon and director of engineering at Yahoo. He also worked with SOA Software, HP and University of Maryland while co-founding a company called Confluent Software/Oblix. Sharma has over 22 years of experience and multiple patents to his name. Ajit Narayanan joined Myntra in April last year as the SVP of engineering for the storefront. Prior to that, he worked as VP of HANA Cloud integration at SAP Labs India for over 3 years. He has also worked with Schneider Electric, in various positions with SAP Labs and ANZ IT for a collective 19 years. * Recent hires at Myntra In September, Myntra appointed Dipanjan Basu as its chief financial officer. In June, it hired Manpreet Ratia to head HR and new initiatives and in October last year, it appointed Gunjan Soni as its chief marketing officer and head of International brands business. Last July, the ecommerce company appointed Ananth Narayanan as its chief executive officer.
