Online event ticketing and registration platform Explara has launched a point-of-sale app which allows event organizers to sell tickets or raise donations from their mobile phones. The app is currently available on Android for free with an iOS version expected shortly. Organizers can start using the app by logging in with their Explara credentials and selecting the event for which they intend to sell the tickets. It allows users to register for the service with requisite details like name, email address and phone number. The app also lets organizers to add multiple sales staff, agencies and partners by creating member staff accounts, so that they can start selling tickets from their own devices. The company says the app comes with a built-in payment gateway which allows organizers to process payments at the event venue, retail shops, agencies or corporate help desk points. The app currently accepts payments via credit and debit cards, net banking and cash. Besides selling tickets, organizers can also view weekly and monthly sales reports along with reports for each staff member and attendee list for each event. However, one cannot create events from the app right now. This app is a part of Explara's event marketplace solution which was launched in December last year and provides pre-event, event-day and post-event solutions to organizers.
