Singh has worked in India before, and was Business Head at Google India where he worked on monetising IPL streaming. He then moved on to the role of Director, Online Media Sales for Asia Pacific at Google, where he started online media sales division for SMBs across Asia Pacific. By joining Twitter, Singh becomes the third Googler from India to join Twitter after Rishi Jaitly who was a part of Google India’s initial policy team (working as a Policy Analyst at Google under Shailesh Rao, former MD Media & Platforms at Google Asia-Pacific and MD of Google India). Rao now heads Twitter’s International Operations, and Jaitly reports to him.
Last big hire by Twitter in South East Asia before Singh was Arvinder Gujral, who joined the company as its Head of Mobile Business Development for India and South East Asia. Twitter India had recently expanded its team and hired Aneesh Surender Madani to handle Sports Partnerships and Pratiksha Rao as Associate Partnerships Manager.
