Telecom Minister Seeks PM's Intervention On BSNL GSM Tender Telecom minister A Raja has written to the Prime Minister about the BSNL GSM tender that was floated in 2007 to buy 93 million GSM lines. Raja seeks the PM's intervention to protect market share as the tender is very important for the future of BSNL. (Read more at News Center) Indian Company EC Media To Launch e-Reader After Infibeam announced the launch of its e-reader Pi, another Indian company EC Media, owned by Kerala-based DC Books, has said that it will launch an e-reader by late March or early April. The new EC Media e-reader will cost around Rs 8000 to Rs 18000. (Read more at Livemint.com) Wikipedia To Launch Indian Edition Wikipedia has plans to launch the Indian edition of the website. Similar to country specific portals in China, Germany, US and UK, the Indian edition will be Wikipedia.in. At present Wikipedia is available in India languges like Hindi, telegu, Kannada, Punjabi and Bengali, but the number of articles are limited. Users can dial 58888901 for updates on movie reviews, gossips, star interviews and contest. The channel has also started a movie SMS service, where a user can get information on movies by sending a text message with the name of the movie to 58888.
