CBI May Question BSNL

After the raid on DoT by Central Bureau of Investigation over the grant of 2G licenses to new operators on a first come first serve basis without competitive bidding, now the bureau may question BSNL management on their entering into a roaming agrement with Etisalat DB India (previously called Swan Telecom). The agreement had surged Swan’s value to $2 billion at the time of offloading its stake to Etisalat. (Read more at Telecom Tiger)

Newspaper publishers can now prevent unrestricted access to their subscription websites . Users who view free news via Google may be routed to payment or registration pages if they click on more than five news articles in a day. (Read more at BBC)

BSNL Broadband Usage By SMS

BSNL broadband subscribers can now get their broadband usage details  weekly on their mobile phones through SMS. Users can register at BBusage.bsnl.in. The service is valid for both old and new broadband users with underscore ‘_’ and at the rate’@’ signs. (Read more at MobiGyaan)

Tata Teleservices Adds More Subscribers

‘Reserve Now’, New Feature in BIGFlix

BIGFlix movie rental service has launched a ’Reserve Now’ feature. With this feature users can now know the availability of a movie and can immediately reserve it. Previously a user added the movies to the list for rentals and the company would send it once it was available.
