Digital entertainment business Hungama.com has updated its music and video streaming mobile app on Android and iOS. The updated version now includes adaptive streaming for audio and video and Airplay support on iOS. The new app also compatible with the iPhone 5 screen. Besides this, the app has also integrated Google Wallet support on Android allowing users to buy music from within the app. The company claims that the app detects the network and adjusts the sound quality on the basis of bandwidth available. One just needs to change the sound quality to 'auto' mode under 'Settings' under MY PLAY. Hungama claims that the app will work seamlessly on 2G, 3G and WiFi network, however, when I tried the app on Edge network, it was unbearably slow. The iOS app's Airplay support will allow users to stream their music and videos via Apple TV in both audio &video players. Users just need to switch on AirPlay from Music>full player>settings & videos. We are not in a position to test this feature. Launched in March 2013, the app features music and videos from various genres like Bollywood, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Punjabi, Devotional, Regional music and International music among others.
