The Supreme Court was hearing a batch of pleas seeking an impartial probe into alleged surveillance using spyware that was first exposed by the Forbidden Stories consortium. The Solicitor General of India was given time till tomorrow by the Supreme Court of India to check whether the Government of India will file an additional affidavit regarding the usage of Pegasus software. During the hearing today, the Solicitor General of India belittled the petitions by saying that there's an attempt to make a sensitive matter sensational, and also invoked National Security to try to avoid filing an additional affidavit.
