Livspace has appointed Kartikeya Bhandari as its first Chief Marketing Officer. Bhandari will be responsible for the company’s brand, marketing and generation. He will report to CEO Anuj Srivastava.
Bhandari joins Livspace from Flipkart where he was the senior director of marketing for over 2.5 years and director of brand marketing for 2 years. Prior to that, he was at Nokia in multiple sales and marketing roles for 8 years. According to Livspace’s press statement, Bhandari was responsible for the marketing strategy and launch of Flipkart’s Big Billion Days.
In November, LivSpace expanded into Chennai and Pune. It set aside Rs 40 crore for this expansion which would be used for customer acquisition, launching design centres, and getting designers and vendors onboard. This expansion came on the heels of Livspace raising $70 million from TPG Growth and Goldman Sachs, with participation from existing investors. Livspace was launched in 2015 with services in Bangalore, and expanded to Delhi NCR (including Gurgaon and Noida), Mumbai (including Thane), and most recently Hyderabad.
