Instagram has promoted Vishal Shah to head of product, reports Reuters. Shah fills a role that had been vacant since Adam Mosserri was promoted to CEO, right after the departure of Instagram’s co-founders three months ago.

Shah looked at Instagram’s shopping division, ad products, and IGTV. He has been with Instagram since June 2015, when he joined as director of product management. Prior to that, he spent two years at the analytics platform Turn.

Mosseri had been looking for heads of product and engineering and COO since being promoted to CEO just two months ago. Instagram has seen constant entry and exits this year:

  • Instagram COO Marne Levine moved to Facebook as VP of global partnerships and business development earlier in September. The same month, Instagram co-founders Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger quit the company without giving any reason for their exit.
  • In May, Instagram’s VP for product Kevin Weil and VP for engineering Jame Everingham departed to join a blockchain team at Facebook.
