Matrimony appoints Sushanth Pai as CFO

Online marriage and match-making service Matrimony has appointed Sushanth Pai as CFO after the resignation of K Balasubramanian, shows a BSE filing. Pai will take charge from December 15, after Balasubramanian is relieved on December 14. Pai joins the company from Mind Tree, where he was serving as assistant vice-president, headed investor relations and operations of technology media services. Pai's LinkedIn profile says he has also been chief risk officer since April 2015, and general manager of treasury and investor relations since 2005 at Mind Tree. He was also the business head Mind Tree's South-east Asia's operations for a year from April 2016 to March 2017. He has collectively spent 13 years at Mind Tree. He has also worked with GE Capital International Services and KPMG. Balasubramanian was CFO since August 2016, according to Bloomberg. The company did not cite a reason for his departure. Recent moves Earlier this month, Matrimony appointed Sankara Narayanan Kailasam as COO. Narayanan was the head of Aircel’s strategic business unit for South India for over 10 years. In October, Matrimony appointed Jaikumar KP as senior vice president, the company said he would head the sales and operations of Matrimony Photography.
