Update: 99acres.com is back live after 24 hours

Update (1:20 p.m.): The website of real-estate listing company 99acres.com is back live after being down for over 24 hours.

Info Edge said in a statement that reasons for the outage “seems to be hardware failure at the third party data centre where our servers are co-located.” As it turns out, Info Edge’s other portals, shiksha.com, jeevansathi.com and naukrigulf.com were also offline apart from 99acres.com. Hitesh Oberoi, CEO of Info Edge told MediaNama there was no cybersecurity threat and that “all user data is safe and protected.”

This is to inform you that the following websites of the Company were reported to be down late evening of July 10, 2018 and facing connectivity issues due to technical reasons.
– 99acres.com;
– shiksha.com;
– jeevansathi.com;
– naukrigulf.com

However, as we report, all these sites are up again & running.
The reason for such outage of the aforesaid websites seems to be hardware failure at the third party data centre where our servers are co-located. We are investigating the matter to find out the exact & detailed reasons for this outage.
We are not expecting any material impact on the overall business of the Company.
