Crowdera raises pre-series A funding from angel investors

Fintech startup Crowdera has raised Pre-Series A funding of an undisclosed amount from angel investors like Anil Advani, Pramod Jain, Amrendra Reddy and Manish Satnaliwala, angel investors from Singapore, Anand Daga, SME IPO specialist from Central India, and couple more unnamed investors from San Francisco Bay Area.

Crowdera offers a fundraising platform for non-profits and social innovators to raise funds.  It also offers paid value-added agency services in marketing & advertising space to help its customer amplify their fundraising results.

The company plans to use the funds raised to propel the early stage growth and amplify the overall impact by enhancing the product, and scaling customer success activities. The company said that it is getting ready for its series A funding by early next year.

Founded in 2014 at San Francisco Bay Area (Silicon Valley), the company claims to have supported over 2300 campaigns funded by 5,500 donors from 35 countries and currently operational in 200 countries by virtue of its payment gateway partnerships.


Flipkart and Digit Insurance partners for mobile insurance

Flipkart has partnered with Digit Insurance to launch a mobile protection plan intended for people who purchase smartphones on Flipkart’s platform. Users who buy the mobile phones from Flipkart can buy mobile insurance with pre-decided fixed benefit. For instance, if a screen damage happens, customers get this pre-decided amount i.e. flat 20% of the invoice value of the phone. During claim, invoice value of the phone is considered & not current market value i.e. no depreciation is accounted for. Digit Insurance fastens the claims process via remote self-diagnosis process, wherein whenever a screen damage happens, customers can shoot the external damages to the phone and share it with Digit. After approval, the fixed claim amount is processed. This has proved to be working for Digit till now: 77% of the claims get done through their Video/Self-diagnostics app and 94% of the mobile claims have been approved within 24 hours of customers’ doing the self-inspection on their smartphones, the insurance platform said in a statement.


DigiConnecttTechnologys gets seed funding

DigiConnecttTechnologys, an analytics and AI company, has raised $125,000 in seed funding from US-based transport management company Aspire Logistics LLC.

DigiConnecttTechnologys said that it will invest the funds towards product innovation and in consolidating its research capabilities, for technology advancement and to strengthen its product line-up.DigiConnectt has filed patents for 24 features of L Connectt. “We will be adding additional workforce in an effort to add value to our product portfolio,” said Prrashanth H. Nagaraj, Founder and Managing Director of DigiConnectt. Founded Prrashanth in 2017, the Bangalore-based DigiConnectt offers sales analytics and enablement solutions.


ClearDekho gets Rs 2cr from Venture Catalysts & others

Online eyewear marketplace ClearDekho has raised a pre-Series A funding of Rs 2 crore from funding and incubation platform Venture Catalysts along with other institutional and individual investors such as Samyakth Capital, Windrose Capital, Gagan Gupta, Krishnan Akhileswaran of Apollo Hospitals, Dhianu Das of Alfa Ventures, Gaurav Singhvi of Financial Supermarket, Anand Naidu and Yogesh Chaudhary of Jaipur Rugs.

Founded by Shivi Singh and Saurabh Dayal in 2016, ClearDekho has a presence online as well as an offline retail chain. Besides online marketplace, ClearDekho has opened 25 stores across Delhi, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Rajasthan. The company claims to have served a total of 50,000 customers so far.

Shivi Singh said in a statement that this funding round would help the company to scale its market footprint and strengthen back-end operations, as well as to expand team and marketing initiatives. The company also plan to expand its product portfolio and launch its private label brands in the budget category.ClearDekho also plans to launch 100 stores before December 2018 and have 500 ClearDekho stores operational across India within the next 2 years.
