RailYatri acqui-hires YatraChef for last mile commerce Train travel app company RailYatri has acqui-hired Kochi-based food-delivery technology start-up YatraChef for an undisclosed amount. The YatraChef team will now manage the pan-India supply side of RailYatri’s in its last mile delivery business. RailYatri said that the acquisition will help it to further strengthen its supply-side commerce capabilities, as it continues to add new offerings to its travel marketplace. *** Goomo acquires WagonBee Travel tech company Goomo has acquired B2B vehicle rental marketplace WagonBee for an undisclosed amount. Founded in 2016, WagonBee is a B2B car rental marketplace for travel agents and suppliers, enabling them to rent a vehicle ranging from hatchbacks and sedans to luxury coaches and buses, provided by vendors across 40 cities in India. Goomo said in a statement that the acquisition will help the company to add road transportation services to its list of offerings. Earlier, Gommo had acquired holiday marketplace start-up Zopky. In the B2C category, Goomo recently added the hotel booking and flight bookings. *** HungerBox has raises pre-Series A funding of $2.5 million Bangalore-based B2B F&B tech startup HungerBox has raised pre-Series A funding of $2.5 million from Singapore-based Lionrock Capital, Axilor Ventures founder and Infosys co-founder Kris Gopalakrishnan, reports VCCircle. HungerBox connects caterers and corporates via its platform, and currently operates in Bangalore, Mumbai, Pune, Delhi, NCR, Hyderabad, Chennai and Jaipur.
