Google Tez gets 7.5M users, over 30M transactions in five weeks Google Tez has reported over 7.5 million users and 30 million transactions in five weeks, since its launch on September 18th 2017, Caesar Sengupta, VP (Next Billion Users) at the company disclosed yesterday. This was an increase of 13.51% on a year-on-year (YoY) basis. The company added that the number of new active accounts was 8.2 million nearly an increase of 90% YoY in the quarter, from 4.4 million. Read it here Payments via PayPal to get more expensive tomorrow as it applies GST PayPal will be levying the Goods and Services Tax (GST) starting from tomorrow to any individual, merchant or entity in India, regardless whether it is a business or individual account. However, it needs to be pointed out that the GST of 18% will be levied only on the PayPal fee, not the purchase amount, the company said in its FAQs.
