Jubilant Foodworks, the company which operates Domino’s Pizza and Dunkin Donuts in India has announced that it is creating a new digital team to focus on technology and its digital offerings, and has also appointed Anand Thakur as its new Chief Digital Officer.

Pratik Pota, CEO of Jubilant FoodWorks said in a statement that the company is creating a digital team that will look at improving customer experience, data analytics, improving the technology of the retail stores and strengthening digital marketing for the company.

Anand has not officially onboarded the company, the company said he will join the team soon. He is currently serving as Chief Technology Officer at e-commerce player Koovs.com.  He has previously worked with companies such as Lenskart, Adobe, Perot System and Infosys. He also had a brief stint as an entrepreneur with his own venture EasyRation.

Note that, Jubilant Foodworks posted its Q2 earning this week, and said that online orders contributed around 57% of delivery sales for the quarter ended September 30, 2017 (Q2 FY18). This was up from a 43% online ordering share in the same quarter last year. The company also mentioned that the number of downloads of its mobile app stood at 7.8 million at the end of Q2 FY18, as compared to 5 million in the same period last year. While announcing the results, the company said that its key focus for FY18 is to upgrade its online ordering platforms.
