Local recommendations and discovery platform Little Black Book (LBB) has appointed Rohit Jain as its Chief Technology Officer. The company said in a statement that Rohit will work towards providing personalised local discovery experience to users by using machine learning and user behaviour analysis. Moreover, he will work on video recommendations and consumer transactions on the platform.
Rohit has about 10 years of experience in the internet and mobile industry, and has mostly worked with startups. Jain began his career with Goibibo as a Software engineer, and was last working as the Associate Director of Technology at cloud communications startup Knowlarity. He holds an engineering degree from the Delhi School of Engineering (now Delhi Technological University).
LBB is building it senior management team, as it announced the appointment of Anshul Khandelwal as Head of Marketing & Growth and Manik Malhotra as Chief Revenue Officer.
The appointments come at a time when last week the startup also raised Rs 6.5 crore from Blume Ventures and its existing partners, IDG Ventures and Indian Angel Network (IAN). With this investment, the total capital raised by LBB stands at Rs 15.6 crore, it said in a statement.
