Jagran Prakashan Limited-owned Radio City 91.1FM has tied up with Apple Music to offer its listeners curated playlists with more Bollywood and regional music, reports IANS. The playlists would be inspired by Radio City's popular shows -Love Guru, Radio City Top 25,Suno Na Dilli and Kasa Kaay Mumbai. Two other thematic playlists will include Flashback Cassette and Chillout Zone. Apple music users can find Radio City playlists by clicking on Radio City ‘Curators’ in the Playlists section on the Browse tab of Apple Music. The company said in a statement that all the playlists will be updated based on current trends and consumer preferences. Radio and digital space This is not the first partnership between digital music streaming service and a Indian Radio. Last year, Times Internet-run Gaana partnered with Radio Mirchi 98.3 FM (both are owned by Bennett, Coleman & Co. Ltd BCCL) to offer its famous radio shows, Mirchi Mehfil, Mirchi Murga and Hansi ke Phuwarey, on its platform. Radio Mirchi had also launched Mirchi Mehfil, an internet based ghazal radio station which will operate 24/7. Gaana features several other Radio Mirchi’s playlists on its platform.
