Uber India appoints Vishpala Reddy as Chief People’s Officer

Online cab hailing service Uber has appointed Vishpala Reddy as the Chief People’s Officer for India and South Asia at its office in Gurgaon. Apart from building workforce and strengthening the leadership capabilities of the company, Reddy will also take care of Uber India’s diversity and inclusion agenda by developing programmes to foster an equal opportunity workplace at Uber, the cab aggregator said in a statement. Reddy holds a total of 17 years experience in HR.  Prior to joining Uber, she was Vice President and the Head of HR for American Express in India, and held diverse roles in HR for 12 years at the company. Before joining American Express, Reddy worked with Hewitt Associates as a senior consultant in the area of performance and rewards and prior to that, she had started her career with Cognizant Technologies. Reddy was also a board member of the national executive board of NHRDN (National HR Development Network) 2016-17 and has also led their Young Minds Advisory Board.  Reddy holds a degree of MBA from Symbiosis Center for Management&HRD. Recent appointments at Uber -This month Uber appointed Vartika Bansal as the General Manager for UberEATS in Bangalore. -In July, Uber named Sanjay Gupta as the Head of Marketing for Uber India to focus on strengthening Uber’s brand in India.
