Coverfox ropes in former Practo executive as its new CEO

Online insurance company Coverfox has appointed  Premanshu Singh as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the company. Premanshu’s primary focus will be on sustaining business viability and charting a suitable course for the future along with driving customer engagement through new touch points and overseeing transformational customer experiences while including newer products with customized price points.

Prior to his appointment at Coverfox, Premanshu was Vice President- Marketing at Practo. He has led senior level roles in strategic planning, marketing, sales and business development at the companies such as Johnson & Johnson, SMSGupShup, People Interactive, Shaadi.com, Webaroo Technologies and ITC Ltd. He also co-founded a2zbaby.com in 2011, an ecommerce store wherein parents can find products of their choice for their kids. He is also an active Angel Investor, Coverfox being one of his early investments. Premanshu hold a degree of MBA from IIM, Ahmedabad.

Premanshu succeeds Coverfox co-founder Varun Dua, who has since moved on from the company, has founded the digital general insurance company Acko General Insurance.

Coverfox provides a platform for users to search, compare, buy and manage insurance, including car insurance, bike insurance, health insurance, travel insurance and term life insurance. It also has a deal where it provides car insurance for Uber’s drivers.  The company raised $15 million (about Rs 96 crore) in a Series C round of funding from US-based insurer Transamerica, with participation from existing investors two months ago.
