Ola has appointed Harish Ahbichandani as chief financial officer (CFO), and Ganesh Subramanian as vice president of the human resource department. An Ola spokesperson confirmed the appointments to Medianama. Prior to Ola, Abhichandani was the former chief financial officer at Flipkart’s logistics arm eKart. He also held a position of CFO at Tata Teleservices Ltd. Subramanian was the director in charge of human resources, enterprise and technology solutions at Unilever. Both the executives have updated their lastest Ola postions in their Linkedin account. These two positions were vacant for a long time. Rajiv Bansal, who joined Ola Rajiv Bansal joined Ola as CFO in November 2015, had quit the company in February this year. Ola saw a number top-level changes this year. Its marketing lead Raghuvesh Sarup, and Chief Operating Officer for offline initiatives Anuj Bhargava had also quit during February this year. Cab aggregator’s Chief Operating Officer Pranay Jivrajka was replaced by PepsiCo’s Vishal Kaul and was elevated to founding partner. Earlier, Abhimanyu Rawal, the senior manager of Ola’s luxury business had left the company in January this year. Note that the hiring comes at a time when Ola is on funding spree and raising capital to increase its operations. Last week, Ola raised US $36 million (Rs 231 crore) from New York’s Tekne Capital Management, according to documents filed with the Registrar of Companies (RoC).
