A mobile-based enterprise communication platform Noticeboard has raised its first round of $1.2 million led by Stellaris Venture Partners. As part of the transaction, Alok Goyal, Partner at Stellaris Venture joins the company’s board. A handful of angel investors including Rajesh Yabaji and Jayant Kadambi, have also participated in the deal. The Bangalore-based company will use the fresh funds to strengthen the technology, product and design teams and to hire new talent. Noticeboard was founded in 2016 by three former executives from Myntra, Vishal Gahlaut (CEO), Vishesh Dahinwal and Sarath Chandran. According to the company’s estimations, there are over 2 billion workers in the organized sector in the world who don’t have an email address. As a result, updates, feedback and other items of notice take time to trickle down to the ground staff leading to information gaps, poor training and a feeling of disengagement for the employee. At the same time, insights from the ground do not flow back from the staff to line managers and beyond. To solve this problem, the company offers a mobile app to ground teams, which helps in real-time flow of feedback, updates, share photos and files, create polls, quizzes, polls, events, and other items of notice. Managers can onboard their team members in two step onto the app through their email IDs or mobile phone numbers. The platform can on board 50-50,000 team member, and can also be used offline.
