Times Bridge, earlier known as Times Global Partners, has appointed Thane Richard as head of content strategy. Richard will help shape content strategy for Times Bridge’s media businesses and attract more media companies to the Indian market. Times Bridge is the Times Group's international investments and partnerships division and its existing portfolio of investments and partnerships include Airbnb, Coursera, Uber, Vice, Huffington Post, Business Insider, Gizmodo, Lifehacker, PC Mag, Advertising Age, Goal, Tech Radar and Techpost. In November 2016, Twitter’s former India head Rishi Jaitly had joined Times Bridge as its CEO. The Times Group pioneered the private treaties business, now called Brand Capital, which involved taking equity in companies in exchange for marketing inventory. An example of how private treaties deals were structured, here. But it looks like Times Bridge is expanding the scope of its role and will even help in hiring and getting influencers. In the About Us section it mentions: "Whether it’s the recruitment of world-class talent and influencers, engagement with government and business, partnerships with the mobile and media ecosystem, access to competitive intelligence and the Times Group’s digital portfolio or in-house product and operational support, Times Bridge helps the world’s most creative, entrepreneurial and purposeful leaders win and immerse in India." Note that VICE Media signed a partnership with the Times Group’s Times Bridge. The two joint ventures will be formed between the companies with one for television and the other for digital.
