The July 1 deadline to link Aadhaar with PAN for filing income tax returns is just one day away. But those trying to access the Income Tax Department's e-filing site are facing difficulties. So, we gave it a shot: when we tried to access the e-filing site the page didn't open at first. But after repeated attempts it did open and we were able to navigate to the 'Link Aadhaar' page. This took a little more than 10 minutes of repeated attempts. When our colleague Salman tried to access the Link Aadhaar page, a 'Loading' message was displayed and then the page froze. It's possible that these issues have cropped up because a large number of people are trying to access the site at the same time.
