Viaan Studios to make mobile games for Eros’ upcoming movie SNIFF

Viaan Studios has entered into a game development deal with Eros International for a mobile arcade game for the upcoming superhero film SNIFF. Eros will reserve full rights to publish and market the game, which is likely to be launched alongside the movie on the 5th of May this year.

Other than the upcoming game, Viaan studios has its own games on both iOS and Android, including Survival Block, Soulmate, Operation Reboot and TagFight which it lists on its website. However, one of the games said its ‘upcoming’ while others offered no details. It’s likely none of the games have launched yet as we couldn’t find it on the Play Store.

Interestingly, Viaan Studios is an arm of Viaan Industries, which also runs Viaan Mobiles and ‘Best Naturals’ a beauty products brand. The company is owned by businessman Raj Kundra and actress Shilpa Shetty Kundra. The company was renamed from Hindustan Safety Glass after the couple acquired it back in 2014. At the time of acquisition, Hindustan Safety Glass was engaged in trading articles made of glass and was planning to enter the infrastructure business. However, it looks like the company has completely revamped since, now offering mobile game development, mobile phones, and beauty products.

Games based on movies: SNIFF is not the first the game to be based on a movie or movie stars – 99Games signed a deal with Yash Raj Films (YRF) to publish ‘Sultan: The Game’ based on the Salman Khan movie of the same name in March last year, while Nazara had signed a deal with digital celebrity network Fluence to create games based on Amitabh Bachchan and Salman Khan in May 2014. The same year, Nazara also signed a multi-movie deal with Fox Star Studios to develop games on the studio’s Bollywood movies.
