Musafir appoints Rajesh Pareek as Group CEO

Online travel agent Musafir.com has appointed Rajesh Pareek as the Group Chief Executive Officer. In this role, he will be responsible for the company’s international expansion and its next rounds of fundraising activities. Prior to Musafir, Pareek was the Chief Financial Officer at the Dubai International Finance Center (DIFC) for over 6 years. He also worked as Director of Transaction Services at KPMG in Dubai for over 8 years. Overall, Pareek has over 15 years of experience as a chartered accountant. UAE-based Musafir.com had launched its Indian operations in October 2013. Last month, It had partnered with Ixigo in India, for booking international flights with a single tap. It currently offers flight and travel packages, international hotel deals and specialized travel services for organizations, among other travel services. The company mentions that it is now looking to raise a round of funding in addition to expanding its services to other countries. As recently as November 2016, it launched dedicated operations in Saudi Arabia and Qatar, and plans to expand further in India, GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) and MENA (Middle East and North Africa) regions.
