Indus Vox Media to launch four new audio podcasts this month

Indus Vox Media is launched four new podcasts titled ‘Keepin it Queer’, ‘My Neighbour, Zuckerberg’, ‘The Seen and The Unseen’ and ‘IVM Likes’, in this month. The podcasts will be made available over the company’s website, iTunes, Soundcloud, Tunein, Stitcher, YouTube and other services for free.

‘Keepin in Queer’ will be launched on the 9th of January, and is about the LGBTQ community in the country, while ‘My Neighbour, Zuckerberg’ will be launched on the 16th of January, and is about entrepreneurs. ‘The Seen and the unseen’ is a podcast about the visible and invisible effects of public policies and its consequences, and will also be launched on the 16th. The final podcast ‘IVM Likes’ will provide recommendations on books, films, TV and audio and will be launched on the 23rd of January.

Launched in 2015 by Amit Doshi, Indus Vox Media is an audio entertainment network that has  podcasts in genres like comedy, sports, economics, culture, fashion and music. The network currently lists 10 audio shows on its websites, including ‘Adventures of Cheap Beer’, ‘Geek Fruit’, ‘Maed in India’ and ‘Drinks and Destinations’ among others.

Audio podcasts will get more popular as content streaming gets easier, as mobile users will not always have the time to watch videos or read longer format content on small devices. Audio streams are a convenient way of catching up on events, or even for entertainment, when traveling etc., as opposed to data heavy video. While not many companies in India currently focus on audio podcasts, companies like Saavn and Audiomatic etc., currently offer such content.
