Tariff Wars: Idea adds more data to 3G packs, Vodafone’s unlimited calling & more

Idea upgrades 3G data packs to provide more data Idea Cellular is offering more data under the existing 2G and 3G packs for subscribers in Kerala circle, reports TelecomTalk. MediaNama has written to Idea asking if this is extended to more circles; we will update the story once we hear from them. -Rs 36 2G data pack now gives 180 MB 2G data (28 days) instead of 120 MB. -Rs 46 pack will now provide 150 MB of 3G data valid for 28 days, instead of the earlier 120 MB. -Rs 69 pack will offer 1 GB of 3G data for 15 days, instead of the earlier 280 MB for 7 days. -Rs 249 pack offers 1.5 GB of 3G data (28 days) instead of 1 GB. -Rs 449 pack provides 3.5 GB of 3G data (28 days) instead of 3GB. -Rs 649 pack will provide 5.5 GB of 3G data (28 days) instead of 5GB. -Rs 849 data pack now offers 7.5 GB (28 days) data instead of 7GB. Idea is currently in the process of upgrading all its 17 circles to 3G by March 2017. It currently has 4G in 10 service areas, and plans on upgrading 9 more service areas to 4G by March 2017.
