9Apps, part of the Alibaba Group, has tied up with Disney India’s Interactive business to host and promote over 300 mobile games from the latter’s gaming catalogue. This will include popular Android games like Inside Out Though Bubbles, Mickey Cup, Cake Factory, Toy Story, Where’s My Water, Arjun, Lion King and Cricket World Cup Fever.

Note that last month, Alibaba owned UCWeb’s Android app store 9Apps started offering ecommerce shopping aggregation on its app. Users of the app would also be able to compare prices from Paytm, Flipkart, Myntra, Snapdeal, Jabong, Askmebazar, Voonik and Shopclues. It would also offer discounts and coupon codes in a separate section.

9Apps currently claims to have over 250 million monthly active users worldwide and 26 million app downloads every day. The platform has been looking to ramp up the number of apps offered and had launched a $20 million InDev Program last quarter, to help Indian independent and startup developers with specially designed solutions for user acquisition and monetisation. As of now, 9Apps is available in China, India, Indonesia, Russia, Brazil, Vietnam, Middle East and other emerging markets, in 7 languages.

Other Android app stores:

Google Play Store: In May, Google Play Store started providing the option to join beta programs of apps through the Play Store, if the option had been made available by the developer.
