Rajendra Kumar Arora has stepped from Zee Media Corporation as its Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer on August 30th, the company informed the stock exchanges via a notice.In an investor’s release for the year 2105-16, Zee said that based on the recommendations from the board, the company appointed Arora as Executive Director & CEO of the Company for a period of 3 years with effect from May 24, 2016. At that time, he was also a part of the company’s board of directors. The release adds that Arora has around 23 years of experience working with different companies, although the names of the companies weren't disclosed in the release. Prior to joining Zee, Arora worked with Noida based media house News Nation The development came just months after Bhaskar Das, Group CEO of News Cluster at Zee Media had resigned from his post in April. Das instead was appointed as the president and chief growth and innovation officer at Zee Unimedia Limited, Zee Entertainment’s media distribution arm. Other moves at Zee Media - In July, The marketing head of Zee Media Corp Ltd Pooja Gupta had put down her papers, she was promoted to the role in November 2015. – In April, daily newspaper DNA, owned by Zee Media announced that Rohit Gandhi who headed the company’s English news channel WION (as Editor-in-Chief), additionally take over the role of Editor-in-Chief of DNA as well.
