Update: Users can place food orders on Swiggy, reserve tables using Dineout and Bytplus via Google search and Google app on iOS and Android, Google India mentioned in a blog post. Google also plans on adding more partners and change the user interface over time. Earlier: You can now place an order or book a table on Zomata via Google search on mobile web. When a user queries for a restaurant, and if it’s listed on Zomato, Google will automatically display a “Place an order” button along with other details like the restaurant’s address, timings, and contact info through a widget. As of now the feature is available on mobile only, while the company told MediaNama that this will be rolled out on desktops in the future. When a user clicks on the button, he/she gets forwarded to Zomato’s restaurant page; users can then select the dishes of their choice from the menu list displayed on the Zomato website, and not directly from Google search.The feature is currently live with over 11,000 restaurants across 10 cities in India: Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Bangalore, Pune, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, and Chandigarh.
