Indus Towers appoints Tejinder Kalra as the Chief Operating Officer

Indus Towers has appointed Tejinder Kalra as the Chief Operating Officer, as on 1st July 2016. Kalra has over 26 years of experience in the telecom and telecom services industry, and joins from Nokia, where he was the Global Head for the Bharti (Airtel) Business. He has worked with Nokia for over 13 years. He was also the Sub-Region Head for Central, East and Western Africa in an earlier role where he helped set-up Nokia’s Airtel operations in Africa. In the past, he has worked with Reliance Infocomm, Satyam Infoway, Sprint RPG India, among others.


Reliance Jio’s SN Sharma may join DEN

SN Sharma, who was part of the leadership team to drive Reliance Jio’s cable distribution business, has quit the company. He might return to DEN Networks, where he was CEO before joining Reliance Jio in 2015. Source: ETTelecom

Seventynine ropes in Saurabh Sangar to strengthen its Mobile Advertising Business

Saurabh Sangar joins Mobile advertising business SeventyNine as Associate Director – Sales. He has 11 years of rich experience in the Digital, DTH & Radio ad sales, and will be responsible for managing the P&L, driving business growth and managing client portfolio for brand & performance businesses at Seventynine. He’ll be reporting to Siddharth Kelkar, Business Head at Seventynine. Prior to joining SeventyNine, Sangar was Regional Head of Sales at Vuclip Inc. He has also worked in the past as National Sales Head for New Media at Networkplay Media for six years. SVG Media acquired Networkplay Media in December 2014.
