Noida-based content development and publishing services firm MPS Limited has acquired (pdf) Magplus, a U.S and Sweden based company, which offers tools for creating and distributing mobile apps for an undisclosed amount. The acquisition will allow MPS to expand its publishing and content services for enterprise customers and magazine publishers, mainly in mobile content strategies. Magplus, which was previously owned by Bonnier Media, offers software development tools and kits for creating mobile apps using pre-developed templates and custom design interfaces. Along with app development, the company also provides promotion, user engagement and marketing services for those apps. Magplus also provides design tools for app developers using an Adobe InDesign plug-in to help build a custom design for mobile apps. The company currently helps its clients create digital magazines, catalogs, mobile applications, etc. TSI Evovle acquisition: In March last year, MPS Limited’s wholly-owned subsidiary, MPS North America had fully acquired a US-based publishing services company TSI Evolve for $1 million, as indicated by A VCCircle report. TSI’s employees will join MPS post-acquisition. The acquisition of TSI helped MPS strengthen its operation in North America, expand products in the school publishing category, and create new digital learning tools. MPS North America acquires EPS: In October 2014, MPS North America had acquired an US-based full-service editorial and content creation firm Electronic Publishing Services (EPS).
