Open Magazine CEO Mohit Hira joins IB Times as President & Country Head

Mohit Hira, the former CEO of Open Magazine has left the company to join IBTimes as President and Country Head of its India business. Hira had put in his papers at Open in May. IB Times's Indian edition was launched in 2011, and covers business news, technology, entertainment, sports and politics from India and the world. It operates out of Bengaluru and is led by Chandra Mohan, Managing Director for India for the company. Hira will continue to be based in Delhi NCR. Prior to joining Open Magazine in October 2014, Hira was with JWT India, which he had joined in December 2012. There, he had been appointed the head of its digital operations in April 2013. He had also been the CEO of Hungama Digital Services – a web services unit JWT acquired a majority 51% stake in from Hungama Digital Media in 2012. Before joining JWT, Hira had worked with NIIT at various positions; Times Internet Ltd as Director (which he quit in September 2008), Bennett Coleman & Co. Ltd. as Vice President. He has also worked with Contract Advertising and OHI-DDB, Muscat. He had also been the Brand Head for Times Foundation, Navbharat Times and The Economic Times.
