Healthcare startup Consure Medical has secured and undisclosed amount of funding in a Series B round from VC firm Accel Partners, Indian Angel Network, India nnovation Fund and India Venture Partners, reports Economic Times. The Delhi-based startup will use the new capital to enter new markets, product development, and marketing. It is planning on extending operations to Japan. Consure Medical provides critical healthcare technologies and devices for patients requiring long-term medical care.

Search discovery platform for events Little Black Book has raised $1.2 million in funding led by IDG Ventures India, and Indian Angel Network, reports Economic Times. The company plans to use the fresh funding to expand into newer cities, and upgrading technology. Currently the startup operates in Bangalore and Delhi by providing a list of curated events on its online discovery platform, happening in these cities. Little Black Book ties up with local and global brands to offer a list of events across categories such as food & beverages, shopping, lifestyle and travel.

mChamp app gets $745K in seed funding from MoMagic

mChamp mobile app which provides online contests has raised Rs 5 crore ($745,000) in seed funding from MoMagic Technologies, reports YourStory. The app hosts weekly and monthly online contests by partnering with celebrity shows, FMCG brands and movie production houses. Users are rewarded with celebrity meet and greet passes, gift vouchers, cash prizes and free mobile recharges. It claims to have already distributed over Rs 25 lakh in prizes to users.

Video on demand platform Veqta raises $500K in funding

Online streaming platform Veqta has raised $500,000 in seed funding from Chatsworth Management and sports management company ITW Consulting, reports TechCircle The company will use the fresh capital to expand its digital portfolio, hire new talent, product development and marketing. Veqta offers free sports related video content and live streaming to all its users while charging for some premium content; it also provides access to premium content through subscription packages as well. The startup also plans to launch a mobile application in the coming weeks.

Used automobile marketplace Droom raises Rs 200 crore

Online marketplace Droom, which lists used automobiles and services has secured Rs 200 crore in a series B round of funding led by Beenext, and VC firm Digital Garage, reports Economic Times. The Gurgaon based startup plans to use the funding to expand outside India, upgrade technology and hire new talent in engineering teams. Droom currently claims to have over 47,000 sellers listing used bikes and cars on its platform with a Gross Merchandise Value of $140 million as of  April 2016.

Play Your Sport gets undisclosed funding from multiple investors

Fitness app Play Your Sport has raised an undisclosed amount of funding from a cluster of investors including Ashish Gupta and other unnamed investors, reports TechCircle. The Delhi based startup will use the fresh capital to ramp up its team, upgrade technology, and expand operations in newer cities. Play Your Sport uses GPS location to let users discover sports and fitness centres in their neighborhood, connect them with other sports enthusiasts and provides sports related content for reading.

Machadalo secures $175K in seed funding from multiple invests

Online advertising startup Machadalo has secured $175,000 in seed funding from a bunch of unnamed investors, reports TechCircle. The startup will use the new funding to upgrade its technology and operations. It operates by filtering cities into multiple hyperlocal geographic spaces such as residential societies, schools, colleges, and corporate parks, among others.  After setting a target group the company then designs custom online ads and campaigns for different product and services.
