BloomergQuint has appointed Saket Saurabh as Business head for digital and marketing operations, reports exchange4media. Saurabh joins the news channel from #fame India, a live streaming platform, where he served as the CEO for the last two years. Prior to this, Suarabh worked as the general manager for corporate development at Network18 for 6 years (2008-2014), as well as head of marketing for CNBC-TV18 for 6 years (2006-2012), according to his LinkedIn profile. He was handling marketing operations for the India Today group for 3 years (2002-2005) before joining Network18. Previous appointments at BloombergQuint Bloomberg and Raghav Bahl’s The Quint had signed a joint venture agreement to launch BloombergQuint, a co-branded television news channel and website, in March this year. Since then, it has made couple of big hires. Earlier in June, BloombergQuint hired Sanjay Pugalia as the president and editorial director for The Quint and BloombergQuint. Pugalia joined from Network18, where he was editor-in-chief of CNBC Awaaz and CNBC Bazaar. It also hired veteran business journalist Menaka Doshi as its managing editor in April. Doshi has been a broadcast journalist for almost 12 years, starting her career with TV18 in 1996 as a features reporter on India Business Report (BBC). Later she covered business news for CNBC-TV18. Quint’s TV ventures In June last year, The Quint had partnered with Da Vinci Media to launch a Da Vinci Learning TV channel in India.
