Debashish Ghosh, the CEO of Zee Digital Convergence, has resigned from his position and will be the new COO at Chinese smartphone maker LeEco's India company by June, reports Indiantelevision. The report adds that Ghosh will be reporting to Tin Mok, LeEco's APAC CEO and operate in conjunction with Atul Jain, the present COO at LeEco, looking after the hardware and consumer electronics business. Ghosh will announce his content team later this month. Ghosh had taken charge of all digital businesses of the Zee/Essel Group in India as CEO of Zee Digital Convergence Limited and CEO & Whole Time Board Director of India.com Network in February 2013. He started his career with Times of India Group in 1990 and worked as Head of Technology and Advertising Operations, The Times Group to CEO, Times Business Solutions Limited in 2012. Zee Digital Convergence's recent developments: - Sharlton Menezes, Business Head, Original Digital Content of Zee Digital Convergence, also put in his papers and will be joining be Ghosh at LeEco, BestMediaInfo reported. - Archana Anand, Vice-President & Head, Global Business Development, at Zee Digital Convergence Ltd was appointed as the new Business Head of dittoTV in February. She was reporting to Debashish Ghosh-CEO, Zee Digital Convergence Limited, Exchange4media reported. Present in the US and Hong Kong, LeEco entered India this year with the launch of two smartphones. The company has already opened a research and development centre in Bengaluru.
